could be interpreted as human alienation; the meat is raw, therefore, refers at the same time to the dead body and the food, and the consequence for the loss of the soul or heart is symbolized by the face. (we express our feelings with facial expressions, losing them is like losing the heart). Human becomes spiritually speaking like fly, scavenger, feeding on death. of course could mean something totally different.
